What’s Your Theme for 2010?

by Ellie Walsh

Make Peace for 2010

Happy New Year – 2010! As I’ve written about before – I don’t do resolutions…. I do however set intentions.. And I find my intentions have a theme…

When Gale made her transition 7 years ago and I was new to Abraham – I heard them say “The most important thing today is that I Feel Good” I was in the midst of despair and grabbed onto that intention, that theme…. which has been utterly life changing for me!

Default Themes

Working with clients and looking back at my own life – I find people do indeed have a theme running in their lives.. however most of them have not intentionally set this theme. It’s what I would call a? “default theme” – We are out there living our lives so many times running off the old stories we have running around in our heads.

These default themes are based on fear, lack, insecurity, vulnerability. When I work with people and as I hear their stories the theme trapped or victim or drama will come up – these are rooted within most of, if not all of, the situations in their lives.

Out with the Old – In with the New

When I finally understood my thoughts / my theme – was creating my life. I knew to make the changes I wanted I needed to change the old stories – I needed to intentionally set a theme for my life instead of letting circumstances set it for me.

Sounds like a big task! Truthfully it wasn’t – I have found a simple yet powerful way to change these old stories which clear the way for you to set your new intentions – your new theme.

“Out with the Old – In with the New” is an ebook I wrote for clients and is the basis of part of many of the classes I teach. I have made this ebook available to all – You can read about it and pick it up at this webpage: http://livingthelawofattraction.com/my-new-years-gift-to-you/

My theme for 2010:

Making Peace with all Vibrations. In other words – not fighting, resisting, trying to control a thought, feeling, situation. Whenever I try to control a situation or thought I am resisting it. That resistance is actually calling more of that situation to me! That is how the Law of Attraction works in our lives…. Where my focus is – is what is going to multiply in my life.

red arrowWhen I make peace with a situation – I stop fighting with it. When I stop fighting with it I am stopping the resistance. It is the resistance that is holding it in place! By stopping the resistance I free myself up to allow my focus back onto my desires!

Since January 2003 my main intention is on Joy – Feeling Good. This year, 2010, I am aware to Feel Good I need to continue to let go of resistance… allow the flow of life… and within that flow to find and nurture the opportunities that are always (all ways) presented to me.

I am looking forward to a Wonder-Filled New Year! 😀

For the last several months I have been working on what I call the “Making Peace Process”. I personally have had major shifts from this! I am now utilizing this “Making Peace Process” with several clients – who are also experiencing major changes. I am very excited about this process and will soon be writing more about it. Dear Ellie,

Your post is great and I loved your theme for 2010. You are so right! Resistance is attracting exactly what we do not want, yet we stubbornly resist many times 😉

My intentions for 2010 do not change much from my intentions for 2009: Feeling good (number 1 for me too); meditation; alignment with the source; physical exercise; health; time for myself; enjoyable work; money; lots of drumming; internal peace; harmony with the family; love in different forms; passions; excellent surprises; like-minded friends (virtual and close); lots of conscious manifestations and contact with nature.

I am more decided than last year to take action in the direction of my goals, so I bet I will be much more successful this year than in 2009 too.

Thank you for the e-book! I’ll read it, of course.

Have a great 2010. Enjoy it to the fullest!

Hi Patricia
I Love your intentions! It truly is all about aligning with my inner self – with the things that make me happy! 🙂

Thanks so much for sharing – You are an inspiration!

Hi Jeannette
ENJOYMENT – To me is not just to have Joy … but to Be in the Joy! I Love it!!

I wish you a year of Being in the Joy! 😀

Hi Ellie this post has really made me smile, I can feel your enthusiam and excitement. My theme this year is ‘Allowing Change.’ Although I know that the changes I experienced in 2009 were positive ones, I am still sometimes fearful of them. So this year I want to relax, let go and enjoy all of the new opportunities and changes that come to me.

Love your theme Making Peace- that resonates for me too.
Yes being in Joy

my theme is Living Large and my word is Freedom and as I write this Love is creeping in- some meditation on this I think, thanks:)

Hi Carol
Relax and allow the change and enjoy the opportunities! I Love It! Some days easier said then done… but it is all about the journey! 😉

Wishing you a Fantastic Allowing 2010!

Hi Suzie
Woo Hoo! Living Large & Freedom! That so resonates with me! Of course Love comes in — I don’t think you are truly Free unless it is all about Love!

Wishing you a Large 2010! 😀

Your intention is very similar to mine: Unconditional Happiness. I think I’ve finally come to realize that it’s not outside conditions that are responsible for my happiness but how I choose to interpret them. This year will be the year of the glass is half full. Wait.. forget that.. this will be the year of the glass is overflowing. : )

Hi Tapping Tyro

Yes – my interpretation of what is going on is the avenue to my happiness or my despair. The choice is mine!

2010 is the Year of the Glass Overflowing! I Love It! 😉

So many good intentions above. I love “enJoyment” for obvious reasons – and to “Be in the Joy.” Yes, that is what I want to express as a person of/called Joy.

Thank you Ellie for the e-book. This is exactly the positive encouragement I need! This year is going to be busy and my intention is to revisit a recurring theme – Simplicity. I need to reassess and clean out again so I can narrow my focus. In addition, this year I choose to “embrace the unknown”.
Blessings to all,

Hi Joy
Gee you get to tell everybody “it’s all about Joy!” And… it truly is! 😉

Simplicity I like that…. Cleaning out – Hmmm I could certainly use that one… I’m going to “make peace” with the clutter and experience it’s opportunities and see where the Universe takes me.

Wishing you a Fabulous 2010!

You are so right about Resistance. It is because of resistance that we keep thinking and thinking about things we don’t need.

My theme is Freedom!

14 Ellie January 7, 2010 at 11:32 pm

Hi Isaac
Freedom – Great theme! I do believe it is the theme we were born with… and we let the resistance muddy it up!

I wish you a Freedom 2010! 😉

My intention for 2010 is “to be the most authentic me that I can”.

I have decided to do those things, and be those things that make me feel the most likely “myself”. I don’t care if anyone likes the authentic me or not – I like me!

The sub-theme I am most recently working on is “giving it over to God”. Once I am not trying to control anything anymore, it is amazing the receiving I allow in, and all the abundance I receive!

Great post!

16 Ellie February 19, 2010 at 2:16 am

Hi Kara
Yes… give it over and let the real authentic you shine on through!
Thanks so much for sharing!
