Do You Have a Vision Board?

law of attraction vision board.jpg Do you have a Vision Board?

Not sure what it is? - - Well simply it is a collage of pictures, images, sayings of the things that inspire you - of things that you want to create in your life.

I’ve heard vision boards also called - treasure maps, mind maps, goal maps - many names - all basically with the same intent. To inspire your thoughts - to imprint into your mind the dreams you want to achieve.

I guess I use what you would call “mini vision boards” as I print out or write up little notes with one word or sayings and place them all over. In my house - in my car - in my wallet. I talk about making these notes in my guide “4 Steps to Creating the Life You Desire”

I’ve also done “mini vision boards” with pictures - - I’ll tack up a photo of something that inspires me in my office or on the frig.

My partner Carol loves old convertible Mercedes cars. Once when we were in Cape Cod bicycling we stopped at a beach. As we were riding through the parking lot towards the sand - we came upon an older Mercedes with the top down. Ohhhh I could see - Carol was drooling looking at that car. So I grabbed my camera and told her to stand next to it - right at the driver’s door. Well actually I told her to sit in it - - but we both chickened out on that. So she stood next to that car and I snapped the picture.

When we got home I ordered a 8×10 and a 5×6 of that picture. We put the big one right on the front of the refrigerator and the small one she framed and has it sitting on her desk. I just know the next time we take a picture like that - she will be sitting in the driver’s seat because the car will really be her’s!

But — I never really made a board with just my dreams, visions, desires. Why? Well I started them a bunch of times - once I had a large cork board in my office and I started to put up some pictures but then I also ended up using that board for a to-do list and reminders. I don’t thing Dreams and To Do’s belong on the same board! I guess I just never took the time to look through magazines or print pictures from the internet… like I said - I would start and then stop.

But always I knew that vision boards are a great help in keeping your dreams and desires in front of you! I know the small signs and photos I have around the house and in my car are a great help in keeping me focused on what I want my reality to be.

Just 2 weeks ago I purchased a smaller cork board - I printed out a few pictures and I even put the board up on the wall. Hey - this is progress! So now when I look up from my computer - I see that board with a few of my dreams hanging on it. It is good! I am liking this — but there are empty spaces on that board… and yes I haven’t gotten around to filling them in - yet.

redarrow.pngSo - why am I telling you all of this? Well first off — I do know from the experience of my “mini vision boards” this works! It is an extremely helpful tool in keeping you focused on the things that you desire.

I’m going to keep doing my mini boards - they are great on the frig and in the car. And - I am going to finish up my new board in my office and…. I just found a fantastic tool for the computer!

I am so excited about this! If I recommend something - I have to really feel it is very valuable. Well this is!!

I’ve seen these computer vision boards before. Months ago I did a search for them and was not at all impressed with what I found. But yesterday I had this urge to search again… at first I thought - Oh I’ve done this and what I found was not that good - but then I remembered - - follow your hunches, your intuition - So I did….

Right away I came to this vision board software. I hadn’t seen this one before and right away I could see it fit all the criteria I was looking for! I was impressed - so I bought it and started to play with it! I totally LOVE THIS! It was simple to set-up - simple to do and in a few minutes I had my own personal vision board!

Here is what I had been looking for in a Vision Board Software;

  • I wanted software that I could truly personalize - put words and sayings to the pictures.
  • I wanted to be able to use some of my own digital pictures
  • I also wanted it to have an image library that I could pick from
  • I wanted to be able to set this vision board as my screensaver
  • I wanted to be able to print the pictures from this vision board
  • I wanted it to be compatible with several versions of Windows. I have a laptop with XP and my desktop has Vista
  • I wanted it to be Super Easy - I don’t have extra time to be learning new programs!
  • I wanted it to be affordable!

redarrow.pngThis Vision Board does all that and More!! I know I sound like a spokesperson for this product… I can’t tell you how pleased I am with it! It truly took me just a few minutes to get a vision board up and running and….. I have printed out the pictures and just tacked them up on my cork vision board — so those spaces are now filled up!     :)

The price tag? $39.00 ….. I feel it is worth more than that!

I have it set as my screensaver to come up in 5 minutes of idle time. So today I sat here and let the 5 mintues go by and up popped the screensaver and I sat here watching, reading, basking in it all! I found myself feeling so upbeat by doing this. I’m going to make sure everyday I let that screensaver pop up and I’m going to dream with it for awhile.

Go check it out - you can even purchase a gift certificate for your friends or family. What a terrific Christmas present! I just solved my Christmas shopping list!     ;)

If you get it - let me know how much you love it!

Hi Bren….

Yes - isn’t this great! Are you using it on your computer?

I created a personalize vision board within several minutes — Next week I am going to take some more time and add more photos and dreams!

Impressive stuff. I don’t think I’d want the computer software but I will definitely be making a vision board. Actually, I found this page searching for ‘vision board blog’ so now that I’m here I thought I’d drop a note to say hello and well done with your website.
All the best.

Hi Ciara…

Vision boards are a great way to help keep your dreams in front of you.

I’m on the computer a lot — so the vision board software has been a great way to keep my desires up front and personal! :D

Have fun making yours!
