So Many Things to Do? Tell Your Personal Assistant!
So… you have all these things you want to get to… The list of “To Do” items is overwhelming you!
No problem - Just call your Personal Assistant!
Ummmm - Ellie - I don’t have a personal assistant……
Sure you Do! I’ll show you……
- Go get a piece of paper - put a line down the middle
- On the left side write “Things I really want to do today”
- On the right side write “Things I want the Universe to do”
- And start writing…….. Simple isn’t it?!
OK - I’ll explain — On your side - put down only the things you absolutely know you will do today - not the gazillion things that you usually write that no human being could ever accomplish in one single day!
Now on the Universe’s side - your Personal Assistant - put down the things that are running around in your head that you want to get done. You know those gazillion things that urk you everytime they pop into your head. Those things that are jabbing at you and you haven’t found the time to do them. Put them down on your Personal Assistant, the Universe’s side.
So now what?
Now go do the things that you planned on doing today and forget about the rest as you just assigned them to your highly qualified Personal Assistant…. So forget about them!!
And I do mean forget about them - let them go - don’t try to figure out how they are going to get done… If you start measuring if they are done or not - if you start trying to figure out how the heck the Universe is going to get this done - you are going to get in the way!
Do you think Donald Trump micro-manages his assistants? Of course not! He has hired the best to do the jobs he has assigned to them. He assigns the tasks and he goes and plays golf or makes another TV show!
Don’t try to tell your Personal Assistant “how” to get all of this done. Just know you have a qualified Assistant who always does an excellent job at the tasks you assign and breathe a big sigh of relief and enjoy your day!
Is everything on the list going to get done that day? Well you certainly weren’t going to get that all done in one day. Don’t you have lists and lists with lots of undone tasks sitting on them? So…. don’t worry about when it will get done… Just rest in knowing it will!
Does this really work? You bet it does! I am always amazed when I put things on the Universe’s side how things start to come together and these tasks almost do themselves! Phone calls I needed to make - and instead I end up meeting someone or getting an email from a person and that conversation ends up taking care of several phone calls! I have many more examples…
Why does this work? If you put out your desires with the expectation they will be taken care of - if you hold your vibration in that expecting mode - Law of Attraction has to match your vibration! That is why it is important not to try to figure out “how” this is all going to get done.
I heard about this process from Abraham Hicks - They call it the “Placemat Process” - it is called that because Esther first did this process in a restaurant using the paper placemat from the table. You can read about this process and many other’s in their book Ask and It Is Given
I made myself a special sheet I use that I print on three hole paper and keep in a binder… This way I can go back weeks later and see all the things that have been accomplished!
I have that sheet in a pdf file and you are certainly welcome to download and use. Click Here to Download
Let me know if you utilize this process and how it is working for you!

"There are No Mistakes..... Only Discoveries!" TM ~ Ellie Walsh

OK, so let’s give this a go!
Today I will: drive up north and help with building a garage
eat healthy foods
take care of my wonderful family
Stuff for my Personal Assistant to take care of:
write a fabulous novel
Back in a week, returning from the building a garage thing then.

Talk to you then!
Thanks for the reminder of this great process Ellie. It has done wonders for me in the past. It’s so much more fun than a “to do” list. I love the worksheet you created.
But I do wonder if the point of the “place mat” is to really forget out about it - throw it away. A success journal is a great way to keep track of accomplishments - without the reminder of what didn’t get done.
Jeniffer - I went through my twenties knowing that somewhere - on some level - I was writing a novel. Even if I didn’t even know what it was about. When I finally wrote my first novel - the process was so grace-filled. I wrote the outline - then wrote the novel completely out of sequence - in 5-20 minute sessions.
It really does work knowing the universe is working on my behalf.
Hi Jennifer…
I hope you enjoy your building a garage adventure! Not everyone can say they have taken on that experience!
OK - So now you have given a task to your Personal Assistant — you will start to see signs of this all coming together!!
Keep me posted and enjoy your adventures!
Ellie
Hi Trudi…
It is a great process isn’t it?!
When I utilize this process I always put the absolute minimum things on my side - the things I truly know I will accomplish that day. So… When I look back - I never see things that didn’t get done!
But I am usually amazed at the Universe’s side - as I see things that I have asked for unfold in the most amazing ways!!
I also love your idea of a “success journal” - What a wonderful tool to use to pat ourselves on the back as we are writing .. and to look back at all the accomplishments!
Thanks so much for coming by and adding to this conversation!
Ellie
Thanks for this, Ellie! This is one of those processes I’ve read about, but never really gave a go… maybe it’s about time I try it, especially since I’m now wading through about 500 emails in my inbox!
And the pdf is beautiful! Look for a link to this post on the blog.
Hi Lyman….
It is always good to see you here!
This is probably the absolute most simple process we can do — I guess are brains can’t handle the simplicity of it!!
500 emails? Hmmmm just the other day I cleaned out over 4,000 emails that had been accumulating for no good reason!! No I did not read them all! But I did have to scan through them… So now you feel better - don’t you?
Thanks for the link!
