Hi Nancy....

It seems it is so easy for us to forget to take care of ourselves! Meditation is one of those nice things we can do for ourselves which in turn will reap many, many benefits for us!

Thanks for visiting... ;)

Hi Ellie!
I started meditating when my children were babies and it was easy while I was working from home. Then came the job! This changed everything and I forgot about meditating until I realised things were not going so well for me and I particularly did not feel as balanced as I used to be. I have written about the importance of meditation in my latest book, no matter how busy we think we may be!

Hi Carol...
Isn't it wild how we can not do something that we know will help us?

I have been there - done that. For years I was a "sporadic meditator" - I would do it for awhile - feel good - then stop doing it because I was too busy!

Now that would be fine if all continued to go OK with me.... But -- then I would start thinking I need to meditate again -- and it would take me forever to start again. Usually I needed to feel like I was up against the wall before I would start again.

For me it was about self love and making a decision -- I knew meditation worked for me -- So I made the decision to do it everyday no matter what. I was not rigid as far as the time -- I just decided I was going to give myself this luxury gift everyday for as long as I was comfortable with it.

That started me on several years of every single day.... And I certainly benefited from that! Why not set a date to start and do it for 30 days - after the 30 days -- you can then decide if you want to continue.....

Let me know what happens!

Ellie

So glad to see this topic on your site. I used to meditate daily for a couple years - started after a very significant event in my life. Once I "got the hang of it," I found it to be a n extremely tranquil way to start each day. Since then, then, as the "urgency" for it diminished and I got back in my groove of daily living again, I fell away from the practice. Now, I feel that I would like to get back in that practice again because I sense anxieties and stresses that were mitigated by the daily meditation. Yet, I just don't allow myself time/space to do this - I keep telling myself I'll do it tomorrow. Any suggestions?
