I’ve been tagged!!
Judy Kinney from Dream and Flourish just tagged me! Hmmm I’ve never been tagged before!
Well I have indeed been tagged out there on the playground – but never here in blogland….
So …. I guess I am it …. I’m supposed to tell you 25 random things you probably didn’t know about me and I get to tag others to do the same….
Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, ideally, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged, including me.
Coach iyabo and Judy say – “Only play if it’s fun for you and you want to. That’s my real official rule.” I agree with that rule!
Let’s Play!
- My mother did not want me to go to school because I was not yet 5 yrs old (I would turn 5 in December) she thought I was too young and was upset that were letting me in!
- My first day of kindergarten was cancelled because there was a hurricane in NY and I was soooo upset! That was probably the only day in my life I was sorry that school was closed!
- I was in a crib till I was 5 yrs old! Yes – I was going to school…..
- I was a breech birth…. I was coming out… butt first! Ohhhh I know I am going to be sorry I told you that one!
- When I was little the big kids used to call me “droopy draws” – I guess those elastic bands on my pants were not tight enough!
- In grammar school I was an A student with a U in conduct.
- I always loved to read – when I was little if they bought me a .25 cent Wonder book – I was so happy and would read it over and over and over….
- I played the fife in the school band.
- My sister got married when I was 9 and at the wedding I finally realized that she was not coming home with us! I freaked out when she left and they had to hold me back from her. When the elevator doors closed I was kicking the doors and crying… crying….
- I was an Aunt at the age of 12 and I was thrilled to have my own real life baby doll!
- I was in the army…I was a sharpshooter… And No I don’t own any guns
- I was a bank teller, receptionist, bookkeeper, private cab driver, nursery school bus driver, store manager, art layout, car transporter, woodcarver, locksmith…. and I’m sure I missed a few more
- I came out when I was 19
- I was in Amway
- I used to be very analytical and left brained.
- While I was a talker in grammar school, hence the U in conduct – by high school I became very, very shy and quiet with people that I didn’t know.
- I went into AA when I was 28 yrs old – which started my path on personal development.
- I absolutely love living in the boonies in upstate NY!
- I make fantastic mashed potatoes and my macaroni salad is requested at all bbqs
- I absolutely love public speaking! Put a microphone in my hand… and I am on!
- I have had 2 soulmate relationships – Gale for 18 years (many of you do know that she laid down one day in Jan ’03 and never got up again) and then I met Carol, in a bereavement group. She & I are indeed soulmates – we are now together 3 1/2 yrs
- While I had been on this personal development path for many years and my life had changed dramatically all along… I truly found my Authentic Self – my Inner Being – my Inner Voice when I met Abraham Hicks
- I am extremely passionate about guiding others to find their own unique voices and to help them create the life they desire!
- I absolutely Love my Life!!
- I was born in 1955 and I am 8 years old!
OK — So there we have it….

Superabundant Suzie
Hi Judy & Suzie….
Well… I am not so sure how insightful these things are… but I have to say I did have a great deal of fun doing this!
First I thought – 25 things…. that is a lot — then when I started to do it I was rolling and laughing – I promise you I could have extended this list!
But I had to stop as I didn’t want to be too insightful!
Big Hugs,
Ellie
Hi, Ellie, and belated Happy New Year!!
Thanks for the enlightening list, and for the tag. I’ll work on my list over the weekend and psot it on the blog, although I’m not sure I’ll be able to be quite as forthcoming as you have been…(what comes up for me is ‘who is going to be interested in that??’)
Have a great weekend!
Shauna
P.S. I love the ‘Superabundant Suzie sig’ in your comment, Suzie!
Hi Shauna
Hmmm I’m not sure if anyone is interested!
I had such a good time sitting here thinking about all these things! I was smiling at the memories of when I was little… smiling thinking about my mother and my family…. smiling at the diverse background I have had and how far I have come…. I kept smiling and smiling and having a good time!
Happy New Year!
Hi Ellie,
I did a meme similar to this a whiles back – I wrote a poem of 26 random things people didn’t know about me here: http://jennymannion.com/healpain/2008/01/jenny-from-z-26-things-you-did-not-know/
Thanks for the tag! I enjoyed your sharing! I also enjoy living in the boonies of upstate NY!
Lots of love,
Jenny
